Though I'm fairly late to join the #boqueriabasketkal I pulled the trigger yesterday, when I received this gorgeous yarn. I went to the #weddingwoolweekend but was too late, @raincloudandsage were already out of the Unspun 2104, which I wanted to use for this project. Fortunately, there were some balls left online. It's my first time knitting with unspun yarn, but I really enjoy the slow process of knitting and the cloudlike sheepy beauty of the yarn. The pattern is a lot of fun. I love the look of the linen stitch which reminds me of intricate cane webbing. My answer to challenge 1: I usually tend to work with cool summery yarns like linen or silk and keep cool with ice cold coffee and cold tea. Draw the curtains and put on the AC if necessary. Momentan stricke ich das Rasa Tuch von @isangknits mit Garnsouveniren aus Kappeln und Flensburg. Der Urlaub im nördlichsten Teil Deutschlands, der sich fast schon wie Dänemark anfühlt, war wunderschön, so wie das Garn. After translating several patterns for @jessssiemae into German, I was inspired to knit one myself. It was a very simple and enjoyable knit, while the 3x3 rib pattern kept it fun and interesting. I used a 100 percent silk yarn to make the shirt perfect summer knitting. The finished project has a boxy oversize fit. I'm in love with the finished object. I really love thoughtfulness of Jessie's patterns, and I look forward to knit many more. My sister and me test-knitted the #irenetop a fabulous new design by the talented @sari_n_ We loved the all-over broken rib/garter structure as well as the modern feminine Bikini top detail at the front. Although it is not easy to photograph because of its size, the #shakeitupshawl by @_.annajohanna._ is so much fun to knit. It combines garter, lace and brioche knitting and only uses 3 skeins of yarn. I particularly love the smooth transitions created by two-colour brioche and other techniques. My first colorwork sweater and it took me forever. The problem wasn't the colorwork though. I thoroughly enjoyed the yoke that features a combination of colorwork and lace. I was struggling with the challenges of working with handdyed yarn. So I decided to rip back and omit the cable pattern. I used helical knitting to distribute the colour variety more evenly. And now I'm really happy with the result. I love the lace and the simple colorwork that frames it. And the yarn was great for colorwork. Oh I'm so happy to finally have this piece finished. To be honest, I finished knitting it weeks ago, but finding the right buttons was a difficult endeavour. In the end I chose pink mother of pearl buttons, which suit the look of the cardigan. I love everything about this sweater. The gorgeous lace pattern, the yarn combination and the colour are exactly my cup of tea. And weirdly, I really enjoy sewing on buttons. These pullovers are sisters, slightly different in shape and character, but much alike. Just like me and my sister. We are both big fans of @sari_n_ designs and very lucky to test-knit the beautiful Sade pullover. It's a stunning sweater that combines intricate cables with bold bobbles. I'm test-knitting the Sade pullover #sadepullover by @sari_n_ and it's so pretty. The design is inspired by the lines and forms raindrops create on windows, which perfectly echoes the weather we're experiencing in Berlin right now. Moreover, I wanted to share this beautiful new colour by @dererumnatura . It's called Bruyere, heather, and is a glorious shade between a soft lilac and purplish mauve featuring speckles of hot pink. These mittens were a gift for a dear friend who is fond of birds. Initially, I intended to knit them, but in the end my sister knit them instead. And she did a lovely job. I made a thing 🤗 for @karlhoellriegl and I'm so proud and happy it fits and he likes it. I designed this hat pattern myself and had a lot of fun with it (besides the math). The hat is inspired by The Legend of Zelda and features the triforce emblem. The sun finally made a reappearance today , so I could make some decent photographs of my finished Slipstravaganza by @westknits I'm in love with the finished objects. The form drapes beautifully around my shoulders and keeps me warm. It's difficult to decide which section I enjoyed knitting the most, but it all came together so well. Happy sweater weather and shawl season! Today I wanted to share one of my favourite makes, the #timetradesshawl by @boylandknitworks . I love the wavy lace detail and how the colours play with each other. It reminds me of the beautiful sunrises and sunsets that are particularly stunning in winter. The shawl is very precious to me since it reminds me of my last vacation where I picked up the yarn @maschenwerkstatt in Graz.
